TVK's Thanjavur Unit Formally Requests Police Permission for Vijay's March 4 Gathering
The Thanjavur unit of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has officially submitted a request to local authorities seeking permission to organize a significant meeting of party functionaries. This event is scheduled for March 4 and is set to feature the active participation of the party's president, renowned actor Vijay.
Formal Application Submitted to Police Superintendent
On Saturday, R Vijaysaravanan, the central district secretary of TVK for Thanjavur, personally delivered the formal request letter to Superintendent of Police R Rajaram. The letter outlines the party's intention to host a gathering where Vijay will engage directly with functionaries representing all eight assembly constituencies within the Thanjavur district.
The proposed event is planned to take place at a private ground located near Ayyasamipatti, situated along the busy Thanjavur-Trichy National Highway. According to the application, the meeting is scheduled to run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a substantial window for interaction and discussion.
Advanced Security and Organizational Measures Planned
In a move highlighting the party's commitment to order and security, TVK has announced plans to implement a sophisticated entry management system for the anticipated gathering. The party intends to issue official identity cards to approximately 4,900 functionaries who are expected to attend.
Entry to the venue will be strictly regulated through the scanning of QR codes, a modern technological solution designed to ensure a smooth and secure process. This proactive measure underscores the party's focus on maintaining a controlled and orderly environment for the high-profile event.
Preparations Underway Awaiting Official Green Light
Speaking to reporters, Secretary Vijaysaravanan confirmed that preliminary preparations at the chosen venue have already commenced. "We have started preparations at the venue. We believe the police department will grant the necessary approval," he stated, expressing confidence in a positive response from the authorities.
The final decision now rests with Superintendent of Police R Rajaram, who will review the petition and determine whether to grant the necessary permissions for the political gathering. This event marks a crucial organizational step for TVK as it mobilizes its base in the Thanjavur district ahead of future political engagements.
