CM Yogi Adityanath Declares Uttar Pradesh Free from Anarchy, Calls it 'Ram Rajya'

In a significant address during the Bhakt Prahlad procession at Pandeyhata in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that the state has been liberated from tension, anarchy, and hooliganism. He emphasized that this newfound sense of security among citizens embodies the true essence of "Ram Rajya." Extending heartfelt Holi greetings to the gathering, Adityanath highlighted how people in Uttar Pradesh now celebrate festivals without fear, marking a stark contrast to previous eras.

Transformation in Law and Order

Adityanath drew a vivid comparison from mythology, likening criminals and mafia elements to the demon Hiranyakashyap. He stressed that strict and decisive action was imperative to curb anarchy, famously stating, "laton ke bhoot baaton se nahin mante" (those who understand only the language of force). The Chief Minister pointed out that before 2014, festivals in Uttar Pradesh were often marred by tension and curfews, with earlier governments accused of dividing society and leaving traders and common citizens vulnerable.

He elaborated: "Neither daughters nor businessmen felt safe in those times. Today, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as an 'utsav pradesh' (festival state) with significantly improved law and order." Adityanath cited the ongoing Holi festivities in Mathura-Vrindavan as a prime example of peaceful celebrations that attract visitors from across the globe.

Social Harmony and Unity

Addressing critics who alleged division, Adityanath challenged them to witness the massive crowds at celebrations like Holi. "A massive crowd has gathered for this celebration, and no one knows each other's caste, yet everyone is rejoicing in Holi together," he remarked. He described Holi as a festival of harmony and a powerful symbol of social unity, asserting that only through such unity can true integrity be achieved.

Adityanath urged citizens to celebrate responsibly: "Do not forcibly apply colours or create any situation that leads to tension. Avoid obscene songs and celebrate in harmony." He called for the burning of ego, evils, and negativity during Holika Dahan, reinforcing the festival's spiritual significance.

Vision of New India and Development Initiatives

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Adityanath stated that India is confidently presenting the vision of a "New India" despite global unrest. "While many parts of the world face disorder, India is moving ahead with confidence and giving equal opportunities to every section," he said.

Turning to local development, the Chief Minister provided detailed updates on the Gorakhpur Virasat Corridor project. "It will be the most beautiful in the state," he declared, outlining measures to support affected traders. Shops are being allotted near Bandhu Singh Park at Ghantaghar, and for remaining traders, a complex will be constructed near the DIET, with sites identified and funds allocated.

Adityanath explained: "The Heritage Corridor was once an important hub for traders and citizens from eastern UP, Bihar, and Nepal. Due to lack of facilities, congestion, and traffic jams, trade had declined. Now, with renewed development, it will once again become a major commercial hub." He emphasized the government's resolve not to displace anyone but to provide opportunities for progress, ensuring security and convenience through what he termed the "double-engine government."

Conclusion and Future Outlook

In his closing remarks, Adityanath extended best wishes for a peaceful Holi, urging people to avoid conflicts and celebrate with joy and responsibility. He reiterated that the improved environment in Uttar Pradesh reflects the broader development goals for the state and nation. "With this spirit, when Gorakhpur develops, the state and the nation will also develop," he concluded, underscoring the interconnectedness of local progress and national growth.
