295 Ganjam Schools Achieve 100% HSC Results in Odisha

Berhampur: As many as 295 out of 638 schools in Ganjam district achieved a perfect 100% pass rate in the Annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination this year, the highest in the state, according to district education officer Ajay Kumar Patra.

Top Performers and Grades

This year, 304 students from Ganjam secured an A-1 grade, the second highest in Odisha after Balasore, which recorded 305 such students, Patra added.

Consistent Excellence in Schools

Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Nilakantha Nagar has maintained a 100% result for 34 consecutive years. Similarly, Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir schools in Ramahari Nagar and Goshaninuagan have achieved this feat for 25 years in a row, while the one in Gajapati Nagar has done so for 20 years.

Blind School Students Shine

All 12 students, including three girls, from the Red Cross School for the Blind in Ganjam district passed the HSC examination this year, said principal Priya Ranjan Mahakuda. Two boys secured above 70% marks.

Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nilakantha Nagar

All 341 students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nilakantha Nagar, passed the HSC examination. Among them, 98 students achieved A-1 grade with above 90% marks, said principal S Mohan Rao. Sumit Kumar Dash and Akita Sahu topped the school with 582 out of 600 marks (97%). "I wanted to be a doctor," said Sumit. Rao attributed the school's success to extra coaching provided by teachers.

Other Schools with 100% Results

All 124 students of Sishu Vidya Mandir, Ramhari Nagar, passed the examination, with six securing A-1 grade, school sources said. At Sishu Vidya Mandir, Goshaninuagan, all 104 students passed, including 18 with A-1 grade, said principal Narayan Panda. Sishu Vidya Mandir, Gajapati Nagar, also achieved a 100% pass rate with all 74 students clearing the exam.
