The withdrawal of the Gayatri Gopichand-Treesa Jolly duo due to Treesa Jolly's ankle injury has added to the woes. India had won bronze medals in 2014 and 2016 but may struggle to clear the group stage. They face Denmark, Ukraine, and China in the group stage.
