The Jaguar TCS Racing driver is also competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Alpine Endurance Team, where he secured third place in Hyperpole qualifying. He took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the action from the iconic endurance event while expressing his excitement for the race, which starts on Saturday.
Antonio Felix da Costa Qualifies Third in Hyperpole at Le Mans
Announcing da Costa's impressive qualifying result, the Alpine Endurance Team shared a video with the caption: "P3 for DAC in Hyperpole 2! A strong lap to secure a second-row start for the 24 Hours of Le Mans." Feeling relieved, da Costa said in the video: "That's P3 after qualifying in Hyperpole 2 here at Le Mans. What a cool feeling to qualify a hypercar on low fuel and soft tyres here at Le Mans. Thanks to my team and my teammates for giving me this chance. We can definitely race from there. We have a good race car. We can fight with this."
He added: "Yeah, one last final practice now in the night to make the final adjustments to the car, and then it's just 24 hours of racing, no big deal. We're going to make the most of it. So yeah, thanks guys. Thanks for following, and see you out there." Another post highlighted da Costa's achievement: "Second row on the grid! What a team effort. Ferdi set the benchmark in qualifying, Milesi topped Hyperpole 1, and da Costa sealed a strong P3 in Hyperpole 2. Starting from P13, the #36 will be hunting down those in front."
