Students of DAV Collegiate School, Jalandhar, brought laurels to their institution by delivering outstanding performances at the District Junior Kickboxing Championship. The event witnessed fierce competition among young athletes from various schools across the district.
Medal Winners
The school's contingent secured several medals in different weight categories. In the boys' section, Aarav Sharma clinched the gold medal in the under-14 category, while Simran Kaur bagged gold in the girls' under-16 category. Silver medals were won by Rohan Singh and Priya Verma, and bronze medals by Amanpreet Kaur and Vikram Singh.
Coaching and Support
The achievements were attributed to the rigorous training under coach Rajinder Singh, who emphasized discipline and technique. School principal Dr. Neelam Sharma congratulated the winners and encouraged other students to participate in sports for holistic development.
The championship was organized by the District Kickboxing Association and aimed at promoting martial arts among the youth. The winners will now prepare for the state-level championship scheduled next month.
