Bokaro: An alumnus of DPS Bokaro has achieved the top rank in the AIIMS New Delhi's Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI-SS) Examination 2026, conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. Vijay Manohar, through his outstanding performance, has secured the only available seat in the highly competitive MCh Renal Transplant Surgery programme at PGIMER Chandigarh. He will undergo advanced training in this specialized field for the next three years.
Background and Academic Journey
Manohar, an alumnus of the 2014 batch of DPS Bokaro, is the son of retired SAIL employee Srinivas Rao and homemaker Anuradha. He completed his MBBS from RIMS in 2019 and later earned a DNB in General Surgery in 2025. His journey from a school student to a top-ranking medical professional is a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Reflecting on his motivation, Manohar stated, "The Covid-19 pandemic played a defining role in shaping my career aspirations. Witnessing the healthcare challenges during the crisis motivated me to pursue super-specialisation and contribute more effectively to patient care and humanity."
