The Model Town Tennis Academy Summer Open State-Level Tournament concluded after three days of intense competition in Jalandhar. The event was organized by Sukhdeep Singh Jaj, who continues to promote tennis and nurture young talent in Punjab.
Tournament Highlights
The tournament attracted participants from across Punjab and other states, providing a platform for athletes to demonstrate their skills. Players from the Model Town Tennis Academy excelled, dominating several categories.
Prize Distribution
Winners received trophies and cash prizes of Rs 21,000, while runners-up were awarded Rs 11,000. In the men's category, Gurnoor Singh emerged as champion, with Jaskirat Singh as runner-up. In junior categories, Arjun Yadav won the under-12 title, and Mayank Gupta claimed the under-16 championship. All these players train at the Model Town Tennis Academy under Sukhdeep Singh Jaj's guidance.
Chief Guest and Ceremony
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by chief guest Dinesh Arora, along with Ramesh Lakhanpal, Rakesh Kumar, Vineet Gupta, and Dr. Dharshpreet. Arora congratulated the winners and praised the organizers for promoting tennis at the grassroots level. Jaj emphasized the importance of regular competitive opportunities for young players and reaffirmed his commitment to developing future champions through the academy.
