The Indian pair of Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and world champion Samrat Rana secured a silver medal after a dramatic final in the 10m air pistol mixed event at the ISSF World Cup in Munich on Saturday. The duo posted a score of 483.6 to finish second in the four-team final.
Chinese pairs dominate podium
The gold medal was claimed by the Chinese duo of Qianun Yao and Kai Hu, who shot 483.9. The bronze also went to China, with Yiyao Shen and Shuaihang Bu scoring 418.0. The competition saw a rollercoaster of performances, with Bhaker and Rana staying in contention throughout the final.
Indian challenge in qualification
Earlier, the other Indian pair of Suruchi Singh and Sharvan Kumar failed to advance to the top four, finishing 10th in the 42-team qualifier. Their score of 416.3 was not enough to secure a place in the medal round.
