Marco Penge to PGA Tour in 2026 After Stellar Season

Marco Penge is set to join the PGA Tour in 2026 following an outstanding season on the DP World Tour. The English golfer secured three victories during the year, quickly establishing himself as one of the most talked-about names in European golf. Shortly after winning the Open de Espana in October, Penge also addressed rumors linking him with LIV Golf, confirming that his focus remains entirely on the PGA Tour.

Penge Confirms Move to America

Speaking after the tournament, Penge stated, "I'm going to America tomorrow with my wife to find a place for when we move in January. I'm playing the PGA Tour next year." He added that he hopes to enjoy a successful season in the United States before returning to the DP World Tour later in the year. As his career continues to rise, many golf fans have become curious about his personal life and the woman who has supported him throughout his journey.

Who Is Emily Lamb?

Penge's wife is Emily Lamb, once considered one of England's brightest young amateur golfers. Long before their marriage, both players were already making headlines in junior golf competitions across the country.

Early Connection Through Amateur Golf

Marco Penge and Emily Lamb first connected through amateur golf. Lamb enjoyed a strong amateur career during her teenage years, winning the Fairhaven Trophy in both 2013 and 2014. Interestingly, Penge won the boys' competition during those same years, demonstrating how closely their golf journeys matched from an early stage.

The couple later became partners both on and off the course. In 2016, they won the famous Sunningdale Foursomes together despite Penge battling food poisoning during the final round. After the win, Penge said, "We really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to see our names on the champions board at Sunningdale. We may possibly be the youngest pairing to have won it."

Lamb's amateur success continued after that victory. She won the British Women's Stroke Play Championship in 2016, played in the 2017 Women's Open as the low amateur, and later represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2018 Curtis Cup.

Retirement from Professional Golf

Although Lamb had a promising future in golf, her professional career lasted only two years. In 2022, she announced her retirement in an emotional Instagram statement where she explained the mental pressure and emotional ups and downs that came with professional golf. She wrote, "Being a professional golfer was my dream as a little girl and I'm so blessed to have been able to give it a go." Lamb also shared how difficult it felt to deal with missed cuts, pressure, and constant expectations while competing professionally.

Since stepping away from golf, Lamb has worked as an operations and marketing coordinator at Per4m Health. She and Penge married in 2023, and the couple welcomed their son, Enzo, in 2024. The family currently lives in Clitheroe, Lancashire, which is Lamb's hometown.
