The Mysore Organisation of Genitourinary Surgeons (MYSOGUS) will host its annual live operative workshop, ‘KUA-MYSOGUS UROCON 2026’, on Saturday, May 23, at JSS Hospital. The event will bring together leading urologists from across India for an academic and surgical learning experience.
Workshop Highlights
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, MYSOGUS president Dr. Narendra said the daylong workshop will feature live demonstrations of nine complex urological surgeries performed by eminent specialists from various parts of the country. The procedures will be transmitted live to the auditorium at JSS Hospital.
The workshop will primarily focus on the surgical management of urinary incontinence in both men and women. In addition to the live surgeries, extensive academic sessions will highlight the latest advancements, innovative techniques, and evidence-based management practices in urology and urinary incontinence treatment.
Schedule and Participants
The live surgeries will commence at 8 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. Dr. G.K. Venkatesh, founder-director and professor of urology at the Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bengaluru, will inaugurate the workshop. Dr. C.P. Madhu, director and medical superintendent of JSS Hospital, and Dr. Upendra Shenoy, senior consultant and chief of medical services at Manipal Hospital, will attend.
Other notable attendees include Dr. Prasad, Dr. Prakash Prabhu, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Dr. Umesh K., and Dr. Sachin. The event promises a comprehensive learning platform for urologists, surgeons, and medical professionals interested in the latest surgical techniques and patient care strategies.
