NCC Karnataka-Goa Cadets Celebrated with Grand Victory Rally in Bengaluru

Cadets from the Karnataka and Goa directorate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) were greeted with a resounding victory rally in Bengaluru upon their return from New Delhi. This celebration marks their remarkable achievement of securing the Prime Minister's banner and trophy for the second consecutive year at the annual Republic Day Camp 2026.

Unprecedented Success at Republic Day Camp

The directorate emerged as the overall champions among 17 NCC directorates, showcasing excellence across multiple disciplines. Their performance was outstanding in drill, firing, cultural events, and various national-level competitions, solidifying their reputation as top performers.

Grand Procession Through the City

A cavalcade of army trucks transported the cadets from KSR Bengaluru railway station to Brindavan College in Yelahanka. The rally, meticulously escorted by traffic police personnel, passed in front of iconic landmarks including Vidhana Soudha and Lok Bhavan. The procession continued via Mehkri Circle and Hebbal, drawing attention and admiration from onlookers.

Composition and Achievements of the Cadet Team

The directorate was represented by a total of 124 cadets, comprising 76 senior division boys and 48 senior wing girls from six groups. The Republic Day Camp, held from December 28 to January 26, provided a platform for these cadets to participate in various competitions. Their hard work paid off as they secured first place in the flag area, second in line area competitions, and third in the PM rally.

Context and Broader Implications

This victory not only highlights the dedication and discipline of the NCC cadets but also underscores the importance of youth development programs in fostering leadership and national pride. The consecutive wins demonstrate a sustained commitment to excellence, setting a benchmark for other directorates across the country.

The celebration in Bengaluru serves as a testament to the city's support for its young achievers, reinforcing the community's role in nurturing talent. As these cadets return to their routines, their achievements inspire future generations to strive for similar honors in national events.
