Damarius' mother, Michelle Franco, created a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs and support the family. She shared heartfelt memories of her son in her fundraising appeal.

"His laugh was contagious and he could make anyone smile, no matter what kind of day they were having," she wrote. "He played football, ran track, and loved fishing, skateboarding, rollerblading, and riding his bike."

Franco revealed that Damarius had just received his driver's license days before his passing. He had been working at Wendy's since age 15 and took pride in earning his own money.

A Life Full of Promise

Standing at 6'4", Damarius had a presence that filled rooms with warmth and joy according to his mother. He shared a special bond with his niece and loved playing the piano for her. The young athlete was also a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Damarius had plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology in the fall of 2026. He wanted to study construction management and build a future in that field.

"My son was always willing to help anyone," Franco wrote. "We want to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves."
