Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 12 (ANI): Royal Nimar Eagles registered a thrilling three-wicket victory over Rewa Jaguars in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026 at Daly College, Indore. The Eagles chased down a target of 131 with just three balls to spare in a contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Eagles' Wobbly Start
Chasing 131, Royal Nimar got off to a disastrous start, losing three wickets for just 11 runs in the first three overs. The top order crumbled under pressure, leaving the team in deep trouble early on. However, a crucial partnership between Anand Bais and captain Saransh Jain steadied the ship. The duo added 65 runs for the fourth wicket, bringing the chase back on track. Saransh played a composed knock of 28 off 26 balls before being dismissed, while Bais anchored the innings with a well-crafted half-century.
Middle-Order Drama
After Saransh's departure, Shivansh Chaturvedi was dismissed for 10 off 10 balls, adding to the tension. Bais continued to fight but fell for 64 off 56 deliveries when the team still needed six runs from the final eight balls with four wickets in hand. Parush Mandal was then dismissed, leaving the Eagles needing just one run from four deliveries. Abhishek Mavi kept his cool and sealed the win on the very next ball, remaining unbeaten on 15 off 8 balls as the Eagles completed the chase with three balls to spare.
Rewa Jaguars' Innings
Earlier, Rewa Jaguars struggled with the bat, losing wickets at regular intervals. They were reeling at 22 for 2 before Arham Aqueel and Ashwin Das rebuilt with a 41-run partnership. Das scored 18 off 21 balls before being dismissed, triggering a mini-collapse. Aqueel departed for 33 off 29 deliveries, and Rewa soon found themselves in trouble at 116 for 8. Atharva Mahajan fought a lone battle in the latter stages, remaining unbeaten on 33 off 28 balls, helping the Jaguars post 130 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.
