In a significant development for the Texas Longhorns football programme, star running back Quintrevion "Tre" Wisner has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. This move marks the conclusion of his impactful three-year career in Austin, where he served as the team's leading rusher for two consecutive seasons.

The junior player, who plans to utilise his final year of collegiate eligibility at a different institution, announced his decision as the Longhorns gear up for their Cheez-It Citrus Bowl clash against Michigan on New Year's Eve. Wisner's exit follows a similar move by fellow running back CJ Baxter, who entered the portal earlier in December. Tre Wisner first made his mark with a breakout sophomore campaign in 2024, rushing for 1,064 yards and securing a spot on the third-team All-SEC.
