NEW DELHI: The Times Internet Half Marathon transformed the streets of the capital into a vibrant showcase of energy and determination, as runners of all ages united with a shared purpose to challenge their limits and embrace fitness.
Winner Shivpratap Prajapati
The winner, Shivpratap Prajapati, aged 34, recorded an impressive chip time of 32:01. Having run for the past ten years, he initially took up running for fitness but developed a deeper interest after participating in a school competition. While he was originally preparing for the Army, the lockdown shifted his focus, leading him to pursue running more seriously. He now trains with the goal of representing India at the Commonwealth Games in 2028.
First Runner-Up Shubham Kumar
The first runner-up position was secured by Shubham Kumar, who finished with a chip time of 32:34. Kumar maintained a steady pace throughout, staying close to the leader and delivering a strong, competitive performance.
Second Runner-Up Anil Jindal
The second runner-up was Anil Jindal, aged 31, who clocked a chip time of 34:50. Running for eight years, Jindal, an Army professional, focuses on long-distance races and has been actively participating in marathons. He recently competed in the Boston Marathon and aims to complete marathons across the world.
At the Times Internet Half Marathon, performances like these reflected both ambition and discipline. Beyond the timings, it was the dedication behind each run that truly stood out, inspiring participants and spectators alike.
