Unite8 Sports, the sports channel of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), has unveiled an impressive lineup of commentators, experts, and anchors for its coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament, which kicks off on June 11 and will be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will be broadcast on Unite8 Sports (TV) and Zee5 in India.
Key Personalities and Negotiations
The list is headlined by former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia. Additionally, the company is in advanced negotiations with global football icons, including former German captain Oliver Kahn and ex-England striker Robbie Fowler. If finalized, they are expected to join the coverage for the second half of the competition.
The partnership between FIFA and ZEEL was finalized earlier this month after weeks of unsuccessful negotiations with JioStar.
Multi-Language Coverage
Coverage will be available in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Bengali. Besides Bhutia, the English-language panel includes former India manager Igor Stimac, presenter Paul Masefield, Kerala Blasters coach Ashley Westwood, and British journalist Seema Jaiswal. The Hindi broadcast features a diverse group: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Aditi Chauhan, Mehrajuddin Wadoo, Manish Batavia, Atish Thukral, Sahil Khattar, Arpit Sharma, and Arjun Pandit. Ex-India international Robin Singh, known for his work on Sony Network during UEFA Champions League coverage, will contribute to both English and Hindi broadcasts.
For Malayalam coverage, the team includes Jo Paul, IM Vijayan, NP Pradeep, Shyju Damodaran, and Shiyas Mohammad. Bengali coverage will be handled by Rajat Ghosh-Dastidar, Debjit Ghosh, Arnab Mondal, Pallab Basu-Mallick, and Argha.

With the tournament just a day away, Unite8 Sports has also announced associations with over 12 brands. Mahindra is the co-presenting sponsor, Diageo is the co-powered by sponsor, and additional deals have been struck with Apple, Pernod Ricard, and Mondelez, among others.
