A tragic road accident in Dhotian village claimed the life of a 55-year-old man on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Kabal Singh, a resident of the nearby Dugri village.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, Kabal Singh was riding his motorcycle to withdraw money from the State Bank of India ATM located in Dhotian village. As he approached the ATM, a speeding tipper truck coming from the opposite direction allegedly struck him. The impact threw Kabal Singh onto the road, causing severe injuries.

Emergency Response and Death

His son, Gurjant Singh, immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Tarn Taran. Despite medical efforts, Kabal Singh succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Police Action

The truck driver fled the scene with the vehicle following the accident. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Salwinder Singh, who is in charge of the Naushera Pannuan police post under the Sarhali police station, confirmed that a case has been registered. The charges include Sections 106(1), 106(2), and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the driver. The accident has once again highlighted the dangers of reckless driving on rural roads.
