In a commanding display of batting prowess, Vishesh Agnihotri's magnificent knock of 180 runs propelled Sharad Kapoor XI to an emphatic 89-run victory over Prakash Mishra XI in the Under-15 Late Moti Ram cricket championship held at the Sapru ground on Monday.

Electing to bat first, Sharad Kapoor XI amassed a formidable total of 271 runs in 35 overs. Agnihotri's innings was the cornerstone of their innings, overshadowing a disciplined bowling effort from the opposition. Samar Gautam, Prabhat Vishwakarma, and Shivansh Kannaujia each claimed two wickets for Prakash Mishra XI, but their efforts proved insufficient.

In reply, Prakash Mishra XI managed only 182 runs, falling well short of the target. Rajveer Malhotra top-scored with 46 runs, while Udit Srivastava contributed 34 and Dev Dubey added 29. However, the bowling attack of Sharad Kapoor XI, led by Vimal Dixit's three-wicket haul and Suyash's two wickets, along with Utkarsh and Chinmay who also took two wickets each, ensured a comfortable victory.

KDMA League Matches

Several matches in the KDMA league were also played at different grounds in Kanpur on Monday, with Winners Club, Sir Padampat Singhania, Geetanjali, and HBTU emerging victorious.

Winners Club Triumphs

At the PAC Ground, Winners Club defeated Olympic Regd by seven wickets. Olympic Regd posted 159 runs, with Radhey Shyam Gupta scoring 53 and Prabal Kesarwani adding 28. Akhilesh Nishad was the pick of the bowlers for Winners Club, taking four wickets for 45 runs, while Krishna Mishra and Mission Abbas claimed two wickets each. In response, Winners Club reached 161 for three, thanks to an unbeaten 60 from Sarthak Lohia and a quickfire 57 not out from Priyanshu Rawat, with Pratham Batham contributing 29.

SPSSA Edges Wanders Club

At the Everest Ground, SPSSA beat Wanders Club by 22 runs. SPSSA posted 263 for six, powered by Shivshankar's 86 and Avinash Yadav's 50, along with valuable contributions from Adarsh Yadav (34), Aditya Singh (22), and Sahil Kumar (27 not out). Himendra Yadav and Sahul Verma took two wickets each for Wanders Club. In reply, Wanders Club managed 241 runs, with Neelesh Kaul scoring a brilliant 103 and Abhay Yadav making 77. Shivshankar, Avinash Yadav, and Prakhar Dubey each took two wickets for SPSSA.

Geetanjali Club Dominates

At the RPCA Ground, Geetanjali Club defeated Vedic Union by 73 runs. Geetanjali Club scored 246 for five, with Anup Gautam narrowly missing a century with 98 runs, Krishna Kant Dwivedi remaining unbeaten on 75, and Vishal Yadav contributing 30. Hardik Pathak took two wickets for Vedic Union. Vedic Union were restricted to 173 for eight, with Tanush Awasthi top-scoring with 41, Dhruv Soni making 35, and Anmol Srivastava remaining unbeaten on 22. Sujal took three wickets for Geetanjali Club.

HBTU Clinches Thriller

At the HBTU ground, HBTU beat Star Club by four wickets in a close encounter. Star Club posted 183 for seven, with Naman Jaiswal scoring 48, Soumitra Pal 41, and Vedic Dixit 37. Dhruv Srivastava and Manjesh Kumar took two wickets each for HBTU. In reply, HBTU reached 184 for six, with Vaibhav Penguria remaining unbeaten on 43, Shivam Singh scoring 32, and Ashutosh Dubey adding 23. Rishabh Gupta and Govind Gupta took two wickets each for Star Club.

CCL T-20 Match

In a CCL T-20 match at Sapru ground, Metador Foam XI defeated Crazy Rangers XI by 33 runs. Metador Foam XI scored 174 for nine, with Rizwan Ansari hitting 64, Aviral Rawat making 37, and Ashish Bajpai remaining unbeaten on 23. Bharat Padney took four wickets for 35 runs, and Rishabh Pathak claimed three for 15. Crazy Rangers were bowled out for 141, with Rishabh Pathak scoring 79 and Vineet Rastogi adding 20. Anil Gupta took three wickets for 26 runs, while Mission Gupta and Santosh Gupta each took two wickets.
