Amir and Faheem Clash in On-Field Spat During PSL 11 Match

Rawalpindiz fast bowler Mohammad Amir and Islamabad United all-rounder Faheem Ashraf were involved in a heated on-field argument during their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 match at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Thursday. The altercation occurred on the third ball of the 17th over of the first innings when Amir bowled a slow bouncer to Faheem.

Faheem attempted an upper-cut but edged the ball to wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. After completing the catch, Amir celebrated and then exchanged words with Faheem, using hand gestures to direct him back to the pavilion. Faheem responded by walking toward Amir and pointing his bat at him. The situation was quickly defused by teammates Asif Afridi and Saad Masood, who intervened and separated the players.

In the match, Rawalpindiz won the toss and elected to bowl first, dismissing Islamabad United for 137 runs in 20 overs. Islamabad got off to a sluggish start, with openers Devon Conway and Sameer Minhas struggling to score quickly. Naseem Shah struck early in the powerplay, removing Mohammad Faiq for 5 off 6 balls, leaving the score at 29 for 2 after 5.5 overs.

Later, Amir claimed the wicket of Faheem Ashraf for 11 off 12 balls, leaving Islamabad at 99 for 7 in 16.3 overs. Chris Green provided some resistance with a quick 29 off 16 balls, including two fours and two sixes, helping the team cross the 100-run mark before being run out in the final over.
