Fans at Holkar Stadium witnessed a batting spectacle as Gwalior Cheetahs and Chambal Ghariyals combined for over 500 runs in the Aditya Birla Group Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026. Chambal Ghariyals achieved a record chase of 258 runs, winning by three wickets.

Gwalior Cheetahs Innings

Batting first, Gwalior Cheetahs amassed a massive 257/6 in 20 overs after being put in to bat. Kartik Parihar and Parth Chaudhary started with a 27-run opening stand before Parihar fell for 6 off 7 balls. Chaudhary continued aggressively, adding 24 runs with Saumy Pandey, who made 10 off 7.

Chaudhary then partnered with Kuldeep Gehi for a blistering 71-run stand for the third wicket. Chaudhary scored 73 off 38 balls, hitting six sixes and six fours. Gehi then joined captain Rajat Patidar, adding 75 runs for the fourth wicket. Gehi smashed 88 off 42 balls, with nine sixes and four boundaries, including 34 runs in a single over. Patidar contributed 46 off 16 balls, while Mangesh Yadav added a quick 21 off 8 deliveries.

Chambal Ghariyals Chase

Chasing 258, Chambal Ghariyals lost captain Shubham Sharma for a first-ball duck. However, Ankush Singh launched a breathtaking counterattack, registering the fastest century in MPL history off just 33 balls. His knock of 101 included 11 sixes and six fours.

After Ankush's dismissal, Chambal slipped to 155/6 in 11.2 overs. Rohit Kumar Gupta and Aman Bhadoriya then steadied the innings. Bhadoriya was 30* off 14 when 56 runs were needed from the final five overs. Saumy Pandey conceded 21 runs in the 16th over, but Ishan Afridi dismissed Gupta for 22 off 15 balls.

At the end of the 17th over, Chambal needed 25 runs from 18 balls. Anubhav Agarwal bowled a tight over, conceding just six runs. In the penultimate over, Afridi proved expensive, leaving six runs required off the final over. The batters finished with three balls to spare.
