RCA mandates minimum two Colvin games for IPL and international players
The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee has mandated that all men and women players must participate in state-level competitions to qualify for selection in the Rajasthan team for BCCI national tournaments. IPL and international players must compete in at least two matches of the Senior Colvin Shield, with exemptions allowed only for certified medical issues or official international duty. Ad hoc panel convenor Mohit Jaswant Yadav stated, "Participation of experienced senior and national level players in the competition will not only increase the level of the competition but will also provide an opportunity to the young players of the state to learn from them." He spoke on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of Udaipur District Cricket Association summer camp and annual talent search training camp.
