Wilson Isidor's Recent Injury Had Concerned Many as He Geared Up to Represent Haiti

Back in March 2026, the 25 year old star missed a Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. Just days leading up to the match, Wilson Isidor experienced muscular tightness and he was sidelined for the next few days.

Fortunately, Wilson Isidor bounced back on the field on 31st of March in his international debut for the Haiti national football team as the team faced Iceland in a friendly match which ended in a draw.

While Wilson Isidor has kept his eyes on the World Cup, many fans have a lot of expectations from him. The Sunderland forward has made a big impact domestically since moving to England, as he recorded 19 goals in 82 games even though he was not always a regular starter.

A few days ago, in an interview with Sunderland AFC, Wilson Isidor opened up about playing for the Haiti national team as he said, "When I say yes to the call-up, I wanted to help the country grow and achieve a lot of things. But it's great to be the first Haitian player to play for Sunderland. I hope there is more in the future and they can be inspired by me."

The 25 year old star player added, "I think the World Cup pushed everyone to make a good choice. With this competition, we're going to build a future. Bring them joy and bring them freedom with the World Cup. It's 52 years since they went to the World Cup. The first guy to score was a big legend. I hope to be the second one!"
