Kanpur Police Inspects Green Park Stadium for UP T20 League

Kanpur: Joint Commissioner of Police, Vipin Tada, conducted an inspection of Green Park Stadium on Thursday morning alongside officials from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). The team reviewed preparations for the upcoming UP T20 League 2026, which is scheduled to take place from August 14 to September 6, 2026.

Inspection Details

During the inspection, UP T20 League chairman Sanjay Kapoor, UPCA secretary Prem Manohar Gupta, Ahmad Ali Khan, and officials from the Kanpur Cricket Association accompanied Joint CP Vipin Tada. The group physically inspected the stadium premises and also reviewed the seating layout and security arrangements using maps of the stadium.

Key Discussions

Discussions were held regarding crowd management, entry and exit points, and other logistical preparations for the tournament. Speaking to media after the inspection, Vipin Tada stated that security and parking arrangements were the primary concerns of the police department. He emphasized the need to identify suitable parking spaces for spectators visiting the stadium during league matches.

Responsibilities

Tada added that the organization and management of matches inside the stadium would remain the responsibility of the UPCA. UPCA officials also briefed the police authorities on stadium management and operational arrangements planned for the event.
