Karthik Applauds Virat Kohli's Unwavering Drive in RCB's Second Warm-Up Game
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) mentor and batting coach, Dinesh Karthik, has showered praise on star batter Virat Kohli following an impressive performance in the team's second intra-squad practice match ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Kohli showcased his class with a brisk 19-ball 45, setting a positive tone for RCB's preparations.
Karthik's Insights on Kohli's Evolution and Impact
Speaking after the practice game held on Wednesday, Karthik emphasized Kohli's consistency and his relentless pursuit of improvement. "The greatness about Virat is every year he comes up with a certain plan, a certain intent," Karthik stated in a video shared by RCB on social media. "He saw how he's really upped what he wants to do. I feel this year he'll try and get even better. That tells a lot about the person that he is. He's always trying to push his boundaries."
Karthik also highlighted Kohli's significant influence beyond just his batting, noting his energy and leadership within the team environment. "And also what he brings in terms of energy to the crowd, to the meetings. Those are all big things and that's a big part of Virat's personality as well," he added, underscoring how Kohli's presence boosts morale and motivation.
