Chennai: A tragic motorcycle collision on the Maduravoyal bypass on Sunday night resulted in one fatality and left another person injured. The incident took place when a two-wheeler traveling from Maduravoyal toward Puzhal was struck from behind by another motorcycle moving in the same direction.
Victims Identified
The deceased has been identified as Satish, 34, a resident of Thiruverkadu. He succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The injured party, Purushothaman, 21, who works as a food delivery agent, suffered minor injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Police Investigation Underway
Law enforcement officials from the Maduravoyal traffic investigation wing have registered a case and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The body of the deceased has been sent to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for postmortem examination.
The collision underscores the need for heightened road safety awareness, especially on busy bypass roads during nighttime hours. Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents.
