Expansion of Amrit Bharat Express Services
Currently, 30 Amrit Bharat trains operate 60 services. With the introduction of these two new trains, the total number of operational Amrit Bharat Express services will increase to 64. The launch underscores the government's commitment to enhancing rail connectivity and passenger amenities.
Key Routes and Benefits
The Banaras-Pune route will link the holy city of Varanasi with Pune, a major economic hub in Maharashtra. The Ayodhya-Mumbai route will connect the temple town of Ayodhya with India's financial capital, Mumbai. Both trains will offer modern facilities at affordable fares, catering to a large number of passengers.
The Ministry of Railways announced the development via social media, stating that the new trains would boost travel between these important destinations. The flag-off ceremony is expected to take place virtually or at a designated event.
