The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has formed its senior and junior men's selection committees here on Tuesday. Vijender Yadav has been appointed as the chairperson of the senior selection committee, while Amar Singh Negi has been named as the chairperson of the junior selection committee.
Formation of Selection Panels
The RCA ad hoc committee convenor Mohit Jaswant Yadav, along with members Ashish Tiwari, Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, Sushil Jain, and Arisht Singhvi, constituted the senior and junior men's selection panels. These panels will select the probables for the Rajasthan team participating in various age group competitions of the upcoming BCCI domestic cricket season.
Preparations for BCCI Competitions
According to Mohit Jaswant Yadav, for the pre-preparations of BCCI's men's competitions of various age groups, the Rajasthan Cricket Association will organize state-level senior, Under-23, Under-19, Under-16, and Under-14 competitions and activities. After observing the talent and performance of the players in these competitions and reviewing them thoroughly, the RCA senior and junior men's selection committees will pick the probables for the Rajasthan team.
Ad hoc committee member Dhananjai Singh Khimsar stated that the RCA ad hoc committee had invited online applications from former players of the state for the formation of the Rajasthan Senior and Junior Men's Selection Committee. Applicants fulfilling all the criteria for becoming a member of the selection committee were invited by the RCA for an interview in a completely transparent manner. After completion of all procedures, on Tuesday, the RCA ad hoc committee unanimously constituted the Rajasthan Senior and Junior Men's Selection Committee for the BCCI domestic cricket season 2026-27.
Transparent and Robust Environment
According to ad hoc committee member Ashish Tiwari, the association aims to provide a completely transparent and robust sports environment and a completely safe platform to the young talented players of the state in accordance with the performance of the selection process. The committee has given special importance to experienced and young selectors in the selection committee. It will be the responsibility of the selection committee to observe the performance of the young talented players, conduct a thorough review, and select players based on performance to form a strong Rajasthan team, enabling the state teams to perform brilliantly in BCCI competitions and bring laurels to the state.

According to RCA Ad hoc Committee member Arisht Singhvi, it is the full effort of the Rajasthan Cricket Association Ad hoc Committee to provide maximum opportunities to the players of the state before the BCCI national competitions. Players should get the opportunity to showcase their performance in competitions of every format as per the competitions. In this session, the RCA Ad hoc Committee will provide the platform of every format to the players during the competitions, and the newly formed RCA Senior and Junior Selection Committee will inspect the performance of the players during these competitions and select talented players for the state team.

According to RCA Ad hoc Committee member Sushil Jain, Vijender Yadav has been appointed as the Chairperson of the RCA Senior Men's Selection Committee, and Amar Singh Negi has been appointed as the Chairperson of the RCA Junior Men's Selection Committee. These committees are constituted to select the probables for the Rajasthan team participating in the upcoming BCCI cricket season 2026-27.
