The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the T20 Mumbai League 2026, as defending champions MSC Maratha Royals prepare to take on Arcs Andheri in the men's final at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday. Earlier in the day, the venue will also witness history with the inaugural women's final between SOBO Mumbai Falcons and Aakash Tigers MWS.
Men's Final: Royals vs Andheri
The men's final features two in-form teams. Arcs Andheri, led by India all-rounder Shivam Dube, secured their spot with a five-wicket semi-final win over Aakash Tigers MWS. MSC Maratha Royals continued their title defence with a hard-fought three-wicket victory over Ajinkya Rahane-led North Mumbai Panthers in the second semi-final.
While Andheri has been consistent throughout the season, Siddhesh Lad's Royals have shown an ability to rise to the occasion. The contest promises an intriguing battle between Dube's explosive leadership and Lad's calm tactical approach.
Hailing the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for smooth conduct, Dube said, "MCA has organised this amazing league, which is one of the best in India. The quality of matches has been really good. I'm really excited for the final."
Lad also expressed confidence ahead of a second successive final appearance: "It's been a great campaign built on teamwork and character. Different players have stepped up at different times. For the final, we'll keep it simple, focus on the process, win the small moments, and enjoy the occasion."
Led by MCA President Ajinkya Naik and League Governing Council Chairman Rajdip Gupta, the league has showcased next-generation stars like Arjun Tendulkar and Musheer Khan. Bandra Blasters captain Suved Parkar leads the batting charts with 250 runs, including a century and two fifties, holding the Orange Cap. Arcs Andheri's Ajay Mishra tops the bowling charts with 10 wickets, earning the Purple Cap.
Other notable performers include Nutan Goel (242 runs), Jay Bista (225 runs), Divyaansh Sksena (210 runs), and Shashwat Jagtap, who also scored a century. Sylvester D'souza's five-wicket haul remains the best bowling performance.
Historic Women's Final
In the women's competition, Sayali Satghare-led SOBO Mumbai Falcons will face Humairaa Kaazi's Aakash Tigers MWS for the inaugural title. The Tigers boast a formidable batting line-up, while the Falcons rely on a potent bowling attack.
Sayali highlighted team contributions: "The best thing about our team is that everyone has contributed in different games. We've had different Player of the Match winners, so we're not dependent on one or two individuals. All the girls are really excited for the final."
Humairaa also exuded confidence: "It feels great to have reached the final. We've grown stronger with each game and have shown great character. We're excited for the opportunity to compete for the title."
Sanika Chalke of Aakash Tigers leads the women's batting charts with 205 runs, including two half-centuries. Mansi Patil follows with 166 runs, while Sarika Koli has 108 runs. Falcons skipper Sayali has been the standout bowler with nine wickets, supported by Swara Jadhav (eight wickets) and Nirmiti Rane (five wickets).
