A 19-year-old youth tragically lost his life during treatment five days after he and his friend sustained severe injuries when their motorcycle collided with a road divider on the Indore-Bhopal Highway under Khajuri police station limits.
Accident Details
According to police, the accident took place on the night of May 30 near a private school on the highway. The deceased, identified as Ashish, a resident of Behta village in Bairagarh, was employed at a garment shop.
Police reported that Ashish had gone for a ride towards Khajuri with three friends on two motorcycles. As they approached the school, the motorcycle ridden by Ashish allegedly went out of control and crashed into the road divider.
Injuries and Medical Response
Ashish and his friend Harshit Yadav suffered serious injuries in the crash. The other two youths traveling on the second motorcycle, identified as Rajendra and Ashish Meena, promptly rushed them to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Police stated that Ashish succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Thursday, while Harshit's condition is currently stable.
Legal Proceedings
Khajuri police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem examination before handing it over to the family. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
