A tragic accident on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway early Saturday morning claimed the life of a truck driver who was burnt alive after his vehicle collided with a parked truck and caught fire.

Details of the Incident

According to police officials, the incident occurred around 5 am when a truck was parked on the roadside of the expressway. Another truck, coming from Bilaspur, lost control and crashed into the stationary vehicle. The driver of the moving truck, identified as Deepu, a resident of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, became trapped in the cabin as flames engulfed the vehicle.

Rescue Efforts

Fire brigade and police teams rushed to the scene after receiving a report of the accident. Despite their efforts, the fire was so intense that it took considerable time to bring it under control. By the time the flames were extinguished, the driver had already succumbed to his injuries. The heat was so severe that the driver's body was reduced to a skeleton.

Police Response

Senior police officers confirmed that the body has been sent to the mortuary for postmortem examination. The family of the deceased has been informed about the tragedy. An FIR has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.
