Two killed in Chamba car accident

A tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday on the Chamba-Pathankot highway in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, where a car veered off the road and plunged into a gorge, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.

Victims Identified

The victims have been identified as Ankush (31) and Lakhan (29), both residents of Saru village in Chamba. They were traveling towards Kangra when the incident took place.

Rescue Operation

A police team led by Dalhousie DSP Mayank Sharma reached the spot and, with the help of locals, recovered the bodies from the gorge. An FIR has been registered in connection with the accident, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
