Two Teens Die in Kallakurichi Car Accident

KALLAKURICHI: A tragic accident on Thursday evening claimed the lives of two school-going teenagers and left three others injured after a speeding car collided with their motorcycle near Ulundurpet in Kallakurichi district. The deceased were identified as K Justin, 16, and L Bruno, 17. The injured include Bruno’s brother L Alan, 17, A Sujeeth, 16, and S Ajay, 16.

Details of the Accident

The incident occurred on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway near Mattathur village. All five students, residents of Sirathanur village in Kallakurichi district, were traveling together on a single two-wheeler. They were students at private schools in Ulundurpet and Kedilam.

A speeding car, navigating the same stretch, lost control and rammed into the students' two-wheeler. The impact was so severe that all five boys were thrown off the vehicle. Justin and Bruno sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot, while Alan, Sujeeth, and Ajay suffered serious injuries.

Response and Rescue

Local residents and commuters rushed to the scene and alerted emergency services. A team from Thirunavalur police station and a highway patrol team promptly arrived, recovered the two bodies, and sent them to Ulundurpet Government General Hospital for postmortem. The rescue teams also transported the three injured students to Villupuram Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
