UP Police Exam 2026: Jhansi Reviews Arrangements for 68,000

Jhansi: District magistrate Gaurang Rathi and SSP BBGTS Murthy on Saturday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Examination 2026, which will be held in the district for three days starting Monday.

Exam Details and Candidate Turnout

According to officials, around 68,000 candidates are expected to appear for the examination at 28 centres across the district. The exam will be conducted in two shifts — from 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 5pm.

Security and Logistics Reviewed

Detailed discussions were held on security arrangements for candidates, traffic management, safeguarding examination centres, secure handling of question papers, and other logistical requirements. Officials informed the DM that adequate arrangements have been made at Jhansi railway station and the main bus terminus, with special help desks set up, as thousands of candidates are expected to arrive from different cities.

Traffic Restrictions and Special Trains

Police have also issued orders restricting the movement of heavy vehicles from early morning to late evening. Meanwhile, the Jhansi division of North Central Railway has announced the operation of special trains for candidates during the examination days.

SSP Murthy said: “All concerned departments are maintaining close coordination to ensure that the recruitment examination is conducted in a safe, fair and transparent manner.”
