Akshay Bhatia eyes PGA Championship glory at Aronimink

While we tee up every week with the goal of winning, a golfer's career is ultimately measured by performance in the Majors. History and legacy mean a lot to me, especially after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational this year. When you look at the achievements of Nicklaus, Palmer, or Woods, you realize why the Majors carry such immense weight—they represent the standard those legends set.

The Chase for the PGA Championship

This chase will bring together the entire top 100 and more of world golf at the PGA Championship as it returns to Aronimink Golf Club. It is a grueling, traditional test: long, tree-lined, guarded by thick rough, and lightning-fast greens. I came close at the Players last year and finished tied third, won a Signature event this season, and have teed off at the playoffs. But to contend on the back nine on Sunday at the Majors is what professional golfers dream of.

A Humbling Reminder

Earlier this year, I traveled to India with high hopes for the Hero Indian Open, only to miss the cut. It was a humbling reminder that golf demands constant improvement and focus. At nearly two and a half feet tall, the Wanamaker Trophy is one of the most imposing prizes in sports. I am ready to take my shot.
