Nagpur kicked off their campaign in the Maharashtra State (WIFA) junior boys football championship with a commanding 4-0 victory over hosts Dhule in Shirpur on Tuesday. Playing with confidence and cohesion, the Nagpur side dominated from the outset.
Early Breakthrough
In the third minute, Nagpur launched their first attacking move, and Soham Neware found the back of the net to give his team an early lead. The visitors continued to press forward, and in the 17th minute, Akshay Pande doubled the advantage with a well-taken goal. Nagpur went into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Second-Half Dominance
After the break, Nagpur maintained their aggressive approach. Within a four-minute span, Janay Patel scored in the 55th minute, followed by skipper Humayl Sheikh in the 59th minute, sealing a resounding 4-0 victory. The defense remained solid, denying Dhule any chance of a comeback.

Nagpur will face Buldhana in their second encounter of the U-15 tournament on Thursday. The team aims to build on this strong start and continue their winning momentum.
