Patna: In response to the persistent heavy rush on Delhi-bound trains originating from Bihar, the Indian Railways has extended the services of clone special trains operating on the Barauni-New Delhi and Darbhanga-New Delhi routes until July 16.
Extension of Clone Special Trains
According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of the East Central Railway, the Barauni-New Delhi clone special train (02563/02564) and the Darbhanga-New Delhi clone special train (02569/02570) will continue to run daily until July 16. This decision was made due to rising occupancy and increasing passenger demand during the peak travel season.
Additional Measures to Ease Congestion
To further alleviate congestion, the railways has also introduced one pair of special trains on the New Delhi-Howrah route. These services commenced on Thursday and will operate via the DDU-Patna-Jhajha route.
Saraswati Chandra stated that these additional trains are expected to provide relief to passengers who have been facing difficulties in securing confirmed berths on regular services between New Delhi, Howrah, and Patna.

The clone special trains were originally introduced to manage the high demand during peak travel periods. The extension of these services underscores the railways' commitment to addressing passenger needs and improving travel convenience.
