Tournament Details and Schedule
The 7th edition of the Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament 2026 will be held from June 23 to July 3, 2026, at the Air Force Station in Jalahalli, Bengaluru. Organised by the Air Force Sports Control Board (AFSCB), the tournament has been conducted annually since 2018.
According to a Press Information Bureau (PIB) release, Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh had an unparalleled passion for hockey. He inspired air warriors to lead from the front not only in war but also in sports. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has consistently produced athletes who have represented India in international competitions, bringing laurels to the nation and the IAF.
Participating Teams and Format
A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. All matches will be played at the Hockey Stadium, Air Force Station Jalahalli, on a league-cum-knockout basis.
Prize Money and Awards
The prize money for the tournament is substantial. The winner will receive ₹10,00,000, while the runners-up will get ₹8,00,000. The Man of the Match for each game will be awarded ₹25,000, and the Player of the Tournament will receive ₹50,000.
Chief Guests and Ceremonies
Air Marshal S Sivakumar, VSM, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration, will be the Chief Guest during the press conference and the opening ceremony on June 23. Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, will preside over the closing ceremony on July 3.
