Tyre Burst on Jaipur-Kota Highway: Car Falls into Culvert, 5 Safe

Bhilwara: A major road accident was narrowly averted in Tonk district on Wednesday when the tyre of a car traveling at high speed on the Jaipur-Kota National Highway (NH-52) suddenly burst. As soon as the tyre burst, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and it plunged into an approximately 15-foot-deep under-construction culvert on the roadside.

The culvert, located in front of the Tonk Transport Department (RTO) office, had a mesh of iron rods laid out, which likely prevented a more severe outcome. Fortunately, all five people in the car, including two young children, escaped with their lives.

Eyewitness Accounts and Rescue Efforts

According to eyewitnesses, the car went out of control and fell directly into the culvert, resulting in significant damage to the front part of the vehicle. At the time of the accident, the car was carrying five occupants, including the two children.
