Delhi Police Issues Notices to DDCA Officials Over IPL Pass Scam

New Delhi: The Delhi Police crime branch has issued notices to three senior officials of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) in connection with the alleged black-marketing of complimentary Indian Premier League (IPL) match passes and tickets. The officials have been directed to cooperate with the investigation and provide a detailed explanation of the process followed for the distribution of complimentary passes.

Investigation Progress

According to police sources, the investigation has revealed that several complimentary passes recovered from arrested accused individuals were traced back to these DDCA officials. The authorities suspect a larger racket involving the illegal sale of these passes at exorbitant prices. Investigators are also probing the role of an electrical vendor who was allegedly issued accreditation passes for every match, raising questions about the security and distribution protocols.

Arrests and Further Action

So far, four individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. The police are likely to conduct further interrogations of persons linked to the DDCA to uncover the full extent of the scam. The crime branch is examining records of pass issuance and sales to identify any irregularities.
