Royal Challengers Bangalore produced a clinical display to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 wickets in the Indian Premier League. Batting first, Sunrisers were bowled out for a paltry 64 runs in 14.2 overs, the lowest total of the season. In response, RCB openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis chased down the target in just 6.2 overs without losing a wicket.
Sunrisers Collapse
Sunrisers Hyderabad's innings never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Only two batsmen managed to reach double figures, with Abdul Samad top-scoring with 13. The RCB bowlers were exceptional, with Josh Hazlewood taking 3 for 15, Wanindu Hasaranga claiming 2 for 9, and Harshal Patel picking up 2 for 14.
RCB's Dominance
In reply, Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 41 off 29 balls, hitting 5 fours and a six, while Faf du Plessis scored 25 not out off 17 balls. The pair added 65 runs for the first wicket, ensuring a comprehensive victory for RCB.
The win moves Royal Challengers Bangalore to the top of the IPL points table, while Sunrisers Hyderabad remain at the bottom.
