WWE RAW aired its May 25 episode from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. This was the go-home edition for WWE Clash in Italy, where two major matches were officially signed. The night featured four exciting matches, while Logan Paul was revealed to be out of action due to a triceps injury, causing a significant change before the next premium live event.
Opening Segment: Paul Heyman and Oba Femi
Paul Heyman opened the show, stating that Oba Femi had awakened 'The Beast' in Brock Lesnar and that he was ready to compete against him at Clash in Italy. Oba Femi then came out and declared that the rivalry had become personal, vowing to kill Lesnar before signing the contract to make their rematch official.
Je'Von Evans vs. Penta (Intercontinental Championship)
Penta defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Je'Von Evans. The two high-flying stars delivered a thrilling contest, executing multiple top-rope maneuvers and other aerial moves. In the end, Penta retained the title by hitting a Mexican Destroyer on Evans. After the match, Penta attempted to raise Evans's hand in respect, but Evans shoved it off and walked away.
Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez
This tag team match saw both sides engage in a compelling bout. Dominik Mysterio attempted to interfere by handing his AAA Mega Championship to Roxanne Perez. However, Perez accidentally hit Dominik instead of Bayley, who rolled her up for the pin and secured the victory for her team.
Seth Rollins vs. Montez Ford
In a back-and-forth singles match, Seth Rollins defeated Montez Ford with a thunderous Stomp to seal the win. Later, Austin Theory attacked Ford's partner, Angelo Dawkins, with a steel chair. Theory had also attacked Joe Hendry during his in-ring concert segment earlier in the night.
Rey Mysterio vs. Rusev (No. 1 Contender Match)
This match determined a new number one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Despite the size disadvantage, Rey Mysterio held his own against Rusev and eventually won the match with a roll-up. After the bout, Ethan Page and Rusev attacked Mysterio, but Dragon Lee ran out to make the save.
WWE Clash in Italy Contract Signing
Roman Reigns came out and instructed Adam Pearce to remove the security and leave the ring. Jacob Fatu then entered, and a war of words ensued between the two Samoans. Fatu claimed he would 'dogwalk' Reigns, while Reigns stated that Fatu would have to follow him if he defeated him at Clash in Italy. The show closed with both men signing the contract, performing The Tribal Combat handshake and head-touch, and sharing an embrace.
