The third season of the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL-3) is set to commence on June 3 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. The tournament will feature six franchise teams: Raipur Rhinos, Bilaspur Bulls, Rajnandgaon Panthers, Surguja Tigers, Bastar Bisons, and Raigarh Lions.
Match Schedule
League matches will be held from June 3 to June 10. The semi-finals are scheduled for June 12, followed by the final on June 14. Entry to the stadium will be free for all spectators.
Opening Ceremony and First Match
The opening match will see Raipur Rhinos take on Rajnandgaon Panthers on June 3 at 9 pm. Cultural events, including a performance by Bollywood actress Mouni Roy, will begin at 7:30 pm.
Incentives for Spectators
The Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) has introduced several initiatives to attract larger crowds. CSCS director Vijay Shah announced daily cash prizes for match attendees through lucky draws, subject to terms and conditions. Spectators must be physically present with their tickets to claim prizes. Attendees can participate by filling out a form on the back of their physical match tickets.
On the opening day (June 3) and final day (June 14), ten lucky spectators will receive prizes worth a total of Rs 3 lakh. The first prize is a two-wheeler, followed by cash prizes ranging from Rs 40,000 for second place down to Rs 14,000 for ninth and tenth places.
During league matches from June 4 to June 12, ten lucky winners will be awarded Rs 10,000 in cash each daily. Additionally, any spectator who catches a ball in the stands during a match will receive a cash award of Rs 10,000.
Ticket Booking and Entry Process
Spectators must book their free tickets online. To gain entry, attendees must show a screenshot of their online booking at stadium counters to receive a physical pass. They need to write their name, mobile number, and email address on the back of the ticket before dropping it into collection boxes at entry gates, while retaining the counterfoil portion.
Prize draws will take place during the innings break of the second match each day, with winners' names displayed on the stadium's big screen. Free shuttle services will operate from various nearby locations to transport fans to the venue.
Promotional Activities
To build momentum, a CCPL canter activity commenced on May 29 and will run until June 7. The promotional vehicle will visit designated locations from 7 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 8 pm daily. The route covers Raipur, Kanker, Jagdalpur, Dhamtari, Rajnandgaon, Bhilai-Durg, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Korba, and Ambikapur. Special promotional installations will also be set up at commercial hubs and malls in Raipur, Bilaspur, Kanker, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, and Ambikapur.
