India took the lead in the 20th minute through Dangmei Grace, who capitalized on a defensive error to slot the ball past the Bangladesh goalkeeper. The goal came after sustained pressure from the Indian side, who controlled possession and created several chances. Sandhiya doubled the lead just before halftime, scoring in the 42nd minute with a well-placed shot from inside the box.

Second Half Consolidation

The second half saw India continue to assert their authority. Manisha added a third goal in the 65th minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack. The Indian defense, marshaled by captain Ashalata Devi, remained solid throughout, denying Bangladesh any clear-cut opportunities. Goalkeeper Shreya Hooda made a couple of routine saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Group Standings and Next Match

With this victory, India top Group B with six points from two matches, having also beaten Pakistan 5-0 in their opening game. Bangladesh remain on three points from two games. India's final group match is against Nepal, while Bangladesh face Pakistan. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

The Blue Tigresses will look to continue their winning momentum when they take on Nepal in their next group stage encounter. A win would ensure they finish as group winners and face a potentially easier opponent in the semifinals.
