Jaipur Prepares for International Tennis Showdown
The city of Jaipur is set to host a prestigious international tennis event next week. The Shri O N Dixit Memorial ITF MT-400 Tennis tournament will take place from January 17 to 21 at the Jai Club. This five-day competition honors the legacy of the late O N Dixit, a respected sportsperson and promoter. His son, Pankaj Dixit, is organizing the tournament as a heartfelt tribute.
Global Players Converge on Jaipur
Around 150 tennis players from four different countries will participate in the event. The participants come from India, Slovenia, Canada, and Ghana. They range in age from 30 to 75 years old, showcasing talent across multiple generations.
International stars include Bojan Gorenc and Mojka Noc from Slovenia. Anand Murthy and Gursimran Singh Bhullar will represent Canada. Nkwefi Joseph is traveling from Ghana to compete.
Local Talent Joins the Fray
Many experienced players from Rajasthan will also take part in the tournament. These athletes have previously represented India on national and international stages. Prominent names include:
