A 22-year-old student from Delhi University has been arrested for possessing 195 grams of hydroponic cannabis, commonly known as OG, which is estimated to be worth approximately Rs 20 lakh in the international market. According to police officials, the accused was involved in supplying the drug to college students.

Details of the Arrest

The accused has been identified as Jaseem Siyadul Farsan MP, a resident of Vijay Nagar in north Delhi and originally from Kozhikode, Kerala. He is a student at Satyawati College, Delhi University, pursuing a BA degree in his eighth semester. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Akansha Yadav confirmed the arrest during a press conference.

Police Operation

Acting on specific intelligence regarding the sale of hydroponic cannabis near a park in Vijay Nagar Double Storey, a police team conducted a raid and apprehended the suspect. During the operation, officers recovered 195 grams of hydroponic cannabis (OG) from his possession.

Accused's Confession

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to becoming involved in the illegal trade of hydroponic cannabis to earn quick money and maintain a lavish lifestyle. The police are investigating further to trace his supply chain and possible connections.
