The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), known for regulating consumer and proprietor rights, has issued notices to 15 popular food brands for misleading customers. This follows recent buzz about notices to brands like Nestle, KFC, and Open Secret. According to an Instagram post by FSSAI's official handle, the regulatory body has issued notices to several food business operators (FBOs) for violating provisions of the FSS Act, 2006 regarding misleading brand names, trade names, and product claims. FBOs are directed to strictly comply with established labeling and display regulations to prevent consumer deception.
