Students from Global Wisdom School recently embarked on an educational visit to The Tribune printing press, gaining firsthand experience of newspaper production. The excursion provided a unique opportunity for the young learners to understand the intricate process behind the newspapers they read daily.
Exploring the Printing Process
During the visit, the students were guided through various stages of printing, from the initial layout design to the final print run. They observed the massive printing machines in action, which churn out thousands of copies per hour. The staff explained the role of each machine, including the plate-making process and the use of high-speed rotary presses.
Interactive Learning Session
The students also participated in an interactive session where they learned about the history of The Tribune and its significance in Indian journalism. They were shown how news is gathered, edited, and formatted before being sent to the press. The visit concluded with a Q&A session, where students asked questions about the challenges of modern printing and the transition to digital media.
This educational trip not only enhanced the students' knowledge of media production but also inspired some to consider careers in journalism and printing technology. The school administration expressed gratitude to The Tribune for hosting the visit and providing such an enriching experience.
