The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has officially launched the registration process for the Kerala State Design Aptitude Test (KS DAT) 2026. What is KS DAT 2026?

KS DAT is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme offered by various participating institutes across Kerala. This test serves as a gateway for students seeking a career in design.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. The fee structure is as follows:

  • General category: Rs 1,300
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates: Rs 650

Important Note on Certificates

The validity of certificates will be verified based on the last date of application submission. The following validity periods apply:

  • Non-creamy layer certificate: Valid for 1 year
  • Income certificate: Valid for 1 year
  • Community certificate: Valid for 3 years

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for KS DAT 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Have passed 10+2 or equivalent from Higher Secondary Education (HSE) Kerala or any board recognised by Kerala Technological University (KTU), as per All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) norms.
  • Score at least 45% marks for general category candidates.
  • Score at least 40% marks for reserved category candidates.

  • Nativity proof
  • Academic documents (mark list or hall ticket of qualifying exam)
