Lucknow University Registration Portal Glitch Causes Payment Issues for Applicants
LU Portal Glitch: Payments Deducted But No Registration Number

A technical glitch in the Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) portal caused significant distress for candidates applying to undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Wednesday. Applicants reported that while attempting to pay the registration fee of Rs 100, the amount was deducted from their bank accounts, but the system failed to generate a registration number. Instead, an error message appeared on the screen.

Applicants Face Repeated Deductions

Poroush Singh, an applicant, said, "The amount of Rs 100 was deducted twice as I tried to register two times, but no registration number was generated." Another applicant, Reyansh Srivastava, mentioned that after encountering the payment error, he attempted to log in again but was unable to proceed further.

Ritika Ahuja highlighted the difficulties in accessing the portal and completing subsequent steps after payment. She noted that there was no receipt or confirmation after the transaction, leaving applicants uncertain whether their application had been accepted or not.

University Response

Anitya Gaurav, the admission coordinator, acknowledged the glitch and stated, "There is a glitch which is being worked upon by the technical team. In case money has been deducted without generation of number, it would be refunded." The university is actively resolving the issue, and affected applicants are advised to wait for the refund process.

The LURN is mandatory for filling application forms for various courses at Lucknow University. Candidates are urged to check the portal for updates and further instructions.
